How to Get Free Non Copyrighted Music for YouTube Easily

So, you are a blogger or YouTuber and you want some safe and free non copyrighted music for YouTube? I can help.

Let’s have a bit of a view on this ever-increasing urge and in some cases, requirement, to go for YouTube or other reliable social media channel for video marketing or personal projection of something particular. There are an estimated 2.2 billion users online who regularly access YouTube, with 81% being from the age group 15-21. That’s a lot of youth out there! Also, the revenue these regular users along with their subscribers generate is HUGE. The year 2020 itself generated more than $3.85 billion.

But apart from the statistics and facts, the point to be noted is that YouTube has become one of the largest platforms where people from every walk of life have an opportunity to project their talent, product, service, offer, skill, information, or anything that they want to share with the world. It has catered to the needs of students, entertainers, educationists, professionals, marketers, brands, companies, governments, healthcare professionals, and the list goes on.

However, amongst these, the most prominent and liked ones the entertainers; musicians, vloggers, artists, bands, composers, moviemakers, and singers, etc. Following this trend, a lot of youngsters are now trying to make their videos in a highly professional way – thanks to the many applications and software that help them learn professional multimedia skills.

This is where they need the necessary stuff to complement their videos; proper text, images, sounds, visuals, the timing of the clips, and above all – the music! What’s the point of a video if it has the element of music missing? It’s a big setback. Hence, the easiest way is to acquire free non copyrighted music for YouTube.

Getting the free non copyrighted music for YouTube:

There are many ways to acquire music for your videos for YouTube. Many platforms are available for this such as SoundCloud, AudioJungle, Freeplay Music, Free Music Archive, BeatPick, Bensound, etc. These can make your work easier by converting them into other formats and files. These will make your video stand out among the rest. Of course, a good video is all about a balance of sounds, text (if some cases), visuals i.e. good video quality, and the overall theme and projection of the video itself. Hence, take complete advantage of the free non copyrighted music for YouTube that is easy to access and effective in making you gain subscribers.

Does it work?

Well, yes! Mostly, the music that you add to your videos is meant to engage your audience. This should be, however, relevant and of sound quality. Otherwise, as you know, there’s a bulk of other videos out there and people tend to lose interest after 10 seconds. So, if you want to grab their attention, you have just 10 seconds, technically! Hence, this is the most crucial aspect for the vloggers and the video makers because they have to attract an audience with maximum attention-grabbing features and visuals in the minimum amount of time.

To sum up, I would suggest you all who are seeking to enhance the influence of their videos, to use better visuals and sound effects in your videos. Sometimes, people don’t even ‘watch’ the video but just listen to it while working on something else. If the video is silent or a bit bland with no reinvigorating sounds, they might lose interest. Hence, this is how important your sound effects and background music is. Especially, for motivational videos or the how-to ones where you need to attract the viewer with the positive ‘vibes’.

Benefits Of DJ

When it comes to weddings, one of the important aspects is the planning of the entertainment. It is important not to underestimate the effect of the music on a ceremony and reception. The right music is essential in order to create an appropriate backdrop and the desired tone for your event. Experienced DJ hire offers you a diverse selection, authentic versions of songs, better volume control and for usually a much lower cost than a band. For weddings, DJ entertainment would provide the following benefits:

Musical Variety: Often the choice will be between a band and a DJ. As DJs can normally offer greater musical diversity than a band, they are more likely to give all of your guests an amazing time, as an experienced DJ will play music which appeals to all of your guests, whatever their generation or favourite genre.

Special announcements during your wedding: The DJ can also act as an accomplished Master of Ceremonies, who can announce and host the specialist activities during the day and evening reception. That is the reason many couples look for a professional Wedding DJ, who can pause or stop the music without creating any awkwardness during the event.

Different genres of music: Experienced DJs can read the dance floor and mood of your guests and respond very quickly with music to entertain everyone. Providing floor filling classic hits which you and your guests will love and keep your dance floor moving all night. They will have a wide selection of music and can quickly move between genres, and switch seamlessly should your crowd be more Kylie than Kasabian (or vice versa).

No breaks: Bands will have to take breaks, sometimes every 60-90 minutes, which causes a break in the momentum of the evening. However this is not an issue when you opt for DJ hire. Your DJ can entertain non-stop for up to 8 hours. There is no break in the entertainment and no loss of momentum for your dancing and partying guests.

Each form of entertainment has their benefits, but a wedding DJ can be the best form of entertainment for a wedding reception. Rather than having a set play list, sticking to one genre or covers of other music, a DJ has a vast variety of music and can switch between types at the touch of a button.

You can be guaranteed a perfect night of celebration when you choose the best DJ. Always check their wedding DJ experience, and a good DJ will be more than happy to discuss your musical tastes and vision for the evening with you. You can give him a playlist of your favourite songs, and of course also any that ‘must not’ be played.

Businesses need to know

Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) kicks off on Monday, June 3, at 10 a.m. PT in San Jose, with a keynote presentation from Apple executives likely announcing a number of new software and hardware updates.

In years past, Apple has typically announced significant feature updates and new versions of its operating systems to developers at WWDC, including iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS, leaving device announcements like new iPhones for its fall event. This year is expected to see much of the same, with implications for business users in the Apple ecosystem.

Here are some of the announcements businesses can expect at WWDC 2019:

  1. iOS 13

The next version of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 13, will very likely be announced at WWDC. Bloomberg recently outlined many of the expected feature upgrades users can expect, including the following:

Speed upgrades and bug reductions
Tweaks to the interface for a cleaner look and easier multitasking
A Dark Mode for night viewing
A revamped Health app that better outlines daily activity
Using your iPad as a second Mac screen, with the ability to draw with the Apple Pencil and get Mac notifications
Updates to the Reminders app that break tasks down into four sections: Tasks to be done today, all tasks, scheduled tasks, and flagged tasks
iMessage upgrade that allows users to set a profile picture and display name, and choose who sees it, similar to WhatsApp.
Maps app updates that make it easier to set frequent locations, and create groups of such locations
Mail app updates to allow users to mute individual threads, block incoming email from certain contacts, and easier folder management.

Apple is already working on iOS 14 for 2020, which is expected to support 5G wireless network speeds, Bloomberg reported.

  1. macOS 10.15

The largest announcement in the macOS realm is likely to be the project reportedly codenamed Marzipan, which aims to make it easier for app developers to create apps that run on both iOS and macOS devices. This means we can likely expect to see more iOS features like Siri Shortcuts, Screen Time, and iMessage screen effects coming to macOS.

  1. watchOS 6

Apple is expected to announce a number of upgrades with watchOS 6, according to Bloomberg, including adding the App Store onto the watch interface so users can download apps directly on the device. It will also add the Voice Memos app, Animoji and Memoji stickers, the Apple Books app for listening to audiobooks, and the Calculator app.

Apple is also expected to add more watch face “Complications” that show information including the status of audiobooks, external noise and rain data, and the battery life of hearing aids, Bloomberg reported. Several new watch faces are also expected to be announced.

  1. New devices

While Apple typically saves device announcements for its fall event, some analysts predict that the company will unveil the long-awaited Mac Pro upgrade. Apple’s flagship desktop computer has not been significantly updated since 2013, and executives had previously said that a new version would come sometime in 2019. An updated Mac Pro is rumored to have a modular design, and to be announced alongside a 6K monitor, CNET reported.

Given Apple’s lack of attention to the device, ZDNet’s David Gewirtz outlines six ways the new Mac Pro could go terribly wrong, including incompatibility and lock-in, and lack of user maintainability.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also predicted earlier this year that Apple would introduce two new iPad Pros and a new MacBook Pro in 2019.

However, all the rumors about the potential new devices have not been confirmed.

Project management experience

Without the right skills and know-how, landing a job as a project manager can be difficult. There are smart ways to get relevant project management experience.

You are looking for work in project management, but you just do not yet have enough formal knowledge or expertise to land a role as a project manager. What do you do?

Here are four ways you can gain some relevant experience, beef up your resume, and start making more formal inroads into the field of project management.

  1. Volunteer for community projects
Volunteer work is a great way to gain some valuable project-specific experience. There are no shortage of opportunities to volunteer on community projects. Find projects that you may be interested in and ask to join as part of the project team. Try to volunteer in a leadership role as this is the best way to gain direct project management experience. If you are unable to take on a leadership role, other roles may be available that will still allow you to be part of a project team and gain relevant experience. This demonstrates to employers that you were willing to volunteer in project management roles as a sign of your commitment to becoming a project manager at work.
  2. Ask to participate in project meetings

Are you Ready for Containers?

Containers are growing rapidly in both Fortune 500 companies and SMBs. However, its still relatively new and most organizations are in the adoption stage. This eBook focuses on defining containers and the best cases to leverage them.

Within your organization, there are likely to be multiple on-the-go projects at one time. Identify the projects that impact your area and reach out to functional leads or project managers. Ask if you can participate in any capacity on the team or attend meetings as a participant. Express your interest in a project manager career. It is important to make sure that you talk with your direct supervisor first in order to keep them in the loop and gain their approval. This will help your supervisor identify areas of interest and determine ways he or she can assist you in your career development. While participating in an informal role, you may discover aspects of project management that appeal to you and also some that do not.

  1. Consider past jobs where you played an informal role

Although you may not have been a formal project manager, you may have been part of a project team at some point within your career. Go through your resume in more detail and think about when you were a part of projects. You may not have recognized the tasks that you worked on as formal project management activities. It is important to ensure that you recognize the difference between operational activities and formal project-specific tasks. Identify those project tasks and update your resume accordingly.

  1. Create your own project

Think about some project ideas that you can implement within your department and discuss the possibility of leading a small project with your supervisor’s permission. This does not need to be a large undertaking. It could be as simple as a project to organize a small event or improve an existing workflow. Not only does this demonstrate your interest in project management but also your willingness to show initiative. As you gain more experience with smaller projects, your supervisor is more likely to greenlight larger projects. You may even want to formalize your knowledge with some project management training as things progress.
Launching your career in project management does not need to be overwhelming, small steps can get you there. Volunteering on community projects, informally participating on project teams, updating your resume with unrecognized project tasks, and initiating small projects at work are smart ways to gain relevant project management experience.

Typical Tourist Traps

Although the connotation for the words “tourist traps” is often times less than appealing, many of these places are actually interesting on a less than mainstream kind of way. There are people in this world that would rather enjoy quaint, off-road, eccentric places than the most popular tourist spots. Tourist traps, as a rule, are roadside or tourist attractions that have acquired bad reputations. And this reputation has been steadily drilled into public consciousness by unscrupulous individuals who are after a quick buck. Their main victims are unsuspecting out-of-town visitors or overseas tourists who would not dare raise issues for fear of upsetting the locals’ sensibilities. These days, tourist traps have become synonymous with cheesy out-of-the-way places that offer nothing more than cheaply made trinkets with exorbitant price tags. More often than not, these places are surrounded by small stores offering food, beverage and even a sampler of the local brew. Interestingly, these small stores make a substantial income from tourists who just want to get away from the madness of the place. And yes, all these places have rest rooms – the one consistent element that makes them attractive to passer-bys. Unfortunately, some of them ask for a certain fee for performing normal bodily functions.

Tourist traps originally started as innocuous roadside attractions. There was a time when long distance traveling on solid ground became all the rage among erstwhile travelers – think for one moment of pre-commercial airlines flight period. These places were (and still is) frequently advertised all throughout main thoroughfares. Huge billboards and even haphazardly staked signs were created to catch the attention of tourists without planned itineraries.

These “places of interest” were considered as brief interludes to a traveler’s journey – except that some of these places had very little to offer, or in some extreme cases, were outright shams. These places usually charged for entrance fees, but their main bulk of income was from selling merchandise promoting the place. Postcards, cheap shirts and even cheaper caps were the norm. However, there had been other unique pieces like rocks harvested from the area, beaded jewelry made by the locals and other unique curiosities that you would most likely see in another part of the country (at a fraction of the price.)

These days, tourist traps remain virtually the same. Some of them evolved from previously respectable tourist attractions which became so outdated people wonder why they still exist. Others are places specifically created to attract more visitors to a certain location; great examples of these are establishments with novelty architecture (buildings with unusual shapes like a giant tea cup house or a large doughnut-shaped bakery); and small town places with one unique product (like the World’s Largest Ball of Twine.) Others yet, are legitimate tourist attractions that are overrun by commercialism and unchecked tourist population.

Not all tourist traps are gateways to a prolonged hell, though. There are enough activities in some of these places; enough so that some of then are dubbed unofficially as “family attraction stops.” There may be services that offer arcade games, carnival rides, pony rides, thematic restaurants, and even wax museums. However, if you would rather not work the trails of the tourist traps, here are some suggestions as to how you can differentiate legit tourist attractions and tourist traps – and eventually, avoid them altogether.

There is a fine line as to what tourist attractions and what tourist traps are. Most legitimate attractions simply succumb to the call of commercialism; or rather, the entrepreneur minded individuals around the area take advantage of the glut of tourists, and inadvertently creating a tourist trap.

One great indication of a tourist trap is the price. If everything seems to be swimming in inflation, from the entrance tickets, to the merchandise and even the food offered in the place (anything at all that can be rightfully constituted to highway robbery,) then this is probably one heck of a tourist trap. If a specific location is just too much for your wallet, then it would be better to try your luck somewhere else and the first thing to do would be to lookup phone numbers of other feasible packages. This is probably one of the best reasons as to why one should not subscribe to the offered packaged tours. Inadvertently, one of them will include a tourist trap; and since it’s a packaged tour, you really cannot bail out of it.

Another indication can be measured by ratio. If there is a balance between the ratio of interesting things to see / do / experience versus the merchandise being sold in the place, then you are probably in a legit tourist attraction. Naturally, there will always be merchandise sold in these places, but its main focal point is the structure or architecture it represents. Tourist traps, on the other hand, have very little to represent, and they thrive on selling merchandise. It therefore goes without saying that in order to keep the economy afloat around tourist traps, entrepreneurs have to sell merchandise and price them expensively too.

Nevertheless, this ratio is not universal. There are some tourist attractions that are simply overrun with merchandise and hawkers. Take for example the Golden Gate Bridge. This is a truly magnificent place to visit; but with the number of people coming and going, the place can sometimes be choked with so many small-time hawkers that you can hardly experience what its like to be on the bridge.

There is really no way to counter tourist traps, other not paying for the fees and not buying any of their proffered goods. Most likely, if you find yourself in one, you should just go with the flow. Making an issue about it will only ruin your vacation. The very least consolation you have is that you now know what places to skip.

open source project

Open source projects like Go get flak for being closed to outside contributors, but this may have less to do with Google and more to do with best practices.

opensourceistock-479493570boygovideo.jpg
We throw the word “community” around so much in open source that we’re at risk of believing all sorts of bizarre things about how open source works. Like, for example, that open source is a pure meritocracy or, just as erroneous, that it’s a democracy. Both errors find their way into Chris Siebenmann’s crtitique of Go Language. As he writes, “Go is Google’s language, not the community’s.”

This doesn’t mean others can’t contribute to Go—they can—but it’s a one-way contribution relationship. As he continued, “Google is the gatekeeper for these community contributions; it alone decides what is and isn’t accepted into Go.”

The question is whether that matters.

This document highlights the strengths of the portfolio and illustrates how it offers a secure and flexible path to public cloud and to broader digital transformation.

White Papers provided by IBM
Chef co-founder and former CTO Adam Jacob certainly thinks so. While careful not to assert a moral judgment, Jacob stresses in a series of tweets that, though open source, Go is anything but open in terms of community involvement:

NOBODY WHO WANTS THE LEVEL OF INFLUENCE AFFORDED A CORE MEMBER CAN GET IT. THE RESULT IS THAT, WHILE THE DECISIONS MAY BE GOOD, IT ISN’T A COMMUNITY RESOURCE. IT’S THE GO CORE TEAM’S, AT THE MOST CHARITABLE. GOOGLE’S, AT THE LEAST. BUT WITH NO MECHANISMS FOR ALLOWING OTHERS TO PARTICIPATE, THE[Y] CLOSE OFF EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY.

IT’S GREAT THAT THE LANGUAGE ITSELF IS OPEN SOURCE – THE COMMUNITY COULD ALWAYS FORK IF THEIR LEADERSHIP TURNS YUCKY. BUT THAT’S PRECISELY THE POINT – ALL THE POWER IN THE BRAND, IN GOOGLE, IS TOTALLY INACCESSIBLE TO THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE. THAT DOESN’T MAKE IT WRONG, BUT IT DOES MEAN THAT THE GO CORE TEAM IS AN UNJUST BODY – THOSE WITH POWER WILL KEEP IT. THOSE WITHOUT IT WILL RECEIVE THEIR LARGESSE. NOBODY WHO WANTS TO WORK WITHIN THAT INSTITUTION WILL GET THE CHANCE, WITHOUT THAT GOOGLE BADGE.

The problem with this line of thinking is that it doesn’t give sufficient weight to the cardinal virtue in open source: The right to fork. Nothing stops a rival from forking Go and creating their own Go. Go Language is trademarked by Google, but that doesn’t stop someone from forking Go and creating OpenGo. So, yes, Siebenmann is right to argue that “Go has community contributions but it is not a community project. It is Google’s project.” But he doesn’t explain why this is necessarily a problem.

Participation optional
After all, what he says of Go is true of nearly all successful open source projects: “[T]here is a common feeling that Go has done well by having a small core team with good taste and a consistent vision for the language, a team that is not swayed by outside voices and is slow moving and biased to not making changes.” Yep.

SEE: Open source vs. proprietary software: A look at the pros and cons (Tech Pro Research) and Software for nonprofits

Or, as Googler Ian Lance Taylor has noted,

ALL SUCCESSFUL LANGUAGES HAVE A SMALL SET OF PEOPLE WHO MAKE THE FINAL DECISIONS. MANY PEOPLE WILL PROVIDE INPUT TO THIS DECISION, BUT NO SUCCESSFUL LANGUAGE—INDEED, NO SUCCESSFUL FREE SOFTWARE PROJECT OF ANY SORT—IS A DEMOCRACY. SUCCESSFUL LANGUAGES PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT PEOPLE WANT, BUT TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE ACCORDING TO WHAT MOST PEOPLE WANT IS, I BELIEVE, A RECIPE FOR CHAOS AND INCOHERENCE. I BELIEVE THAT EVERY SUCCESSFUL LANGUAGE MUST HAVE A COHERENT VISION THAT IS SHARED BY A RELATIVELY SMALL GROUP OF PEOPLE.

Perhaps Go is different because the core committers all work for Google. But whether that core team is sponsored by a company or is comprised of people from a variety of companies, open source is never a free-wheeling democracy. As Simon MacDonald has written, “Preventing scope creep in any open source project is a key to its success.” This is more easily managed by a small team, in part because they know what’s at stake if they are too promiscuous in what they accept, according to Paul Ramsey: “Core teams are not taking new features willy-nilly, precisely because they know they’ll be stuck maintaining them for ever after.”

Democracy, in short, is not the open source way. Meritocracy, unfortunately, also isn’t (as much as we’d like it to be otherwise), given how hard (or impossible, in Jacobs’ view) it can be to break into a project’s core committer team.

So is community a sham?
No. “Community” doesn’t mean (or shouldn’t mean) an unfettered right to have pull requests accepted. It doesn’t even require open source. What community means will differ by project (or product), and will include a healthy mix of users, contributors, and committers. That people can’t get their pull requests accepted doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a closed community. Sometimes, the very best thing a community can do for its health is to keep contributions tightly vetted by a small group.

War Zones

Happy Sunday from Software Expand! In this week’s edition of Feedback Loop, we talk about the future of Windows Phone, whether it makes sense to build media centers discuss the preferences for metal vs. plastic on smartphones. All that and more past the break the proof of concept can make.

Just because you can do something, should you? Samsung thinks so. Its second experimentally screened phone War Zones taps into its hardware R&D and production clout to offer something not many other companies.

WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM WINDOWS PHONE?
fotolia_73526765

And so, following the Galaxy Round, here’s the Galaxy Edge. If you take the basic shape and concept, it’s the spitting image of the curved-screen Youm prototype spied at CES a little less than two years ago US. Fortunately.

Now, though, it’s a for-real smartphone you can buy. I’ve been testing it out in Japan, where it launched instead War Zones of the Note 4, although both the Note 4 and the Note Edge will eventually be available.

GALAXY NOTE EDGE IS HOW MUCH IT RESEMBLES THE NOTE 4

The ability to shrink the likes of Chrome and Google Maps to a popup window and layer it on top of other War Zones apps is also useful. Love to see something similar on the iPhone 6 Plus you just get the Note 4 anyway?

Despite the unusual, curved screen, it still packs all of the good things that made the Note 4 such a strong choice. But bragging rights aside, is there enough of an argument for a curved screen.

METAL VS. PLASTIC PHONE BODIES?

The exploration of space stands as one of humanity’s greatest achievements. While history has hailed the men and women who reached the cosmos, and those who helped them get there, much of the infrastructure that sent them skyward lies forgotten and dilapidated.

GALAXY NOTE 4 RUNNING ANDROID 4.4 KITKAT

And how does Apple’s biggest phone compare to the Note Edge? Well, both remain unwieldy to grip, and the Note Edge is wider. However, the edged screen nuzzles into my hand better and those software tweaks mentioned above give it the advantage. However, just like the stylus, there’s a while before you get the knack of all the little provisions Samsung’s made to ease users into this screen size.

Roland Miller has spent nearly half his life chronicling these landmarks before they are lost forever long been obsessed with space as a child, he dreamed of being an astronaut.

HARDWARE

Its curves are subjective and divisive; my friends and colleagues have offered up reactions ranging from outright bemusement to adoration. The screen looks great, with the punchy contrast and sharpness that’s been a Samsung flagship mainstay for years. We’ll get back to that edge, but it’s the headline part of a 5.6-inch Quad-HD+ display.

ONE-HANDED USE

Make this secondary menu transparent, allowing me to maintain all that screen space. The ability to shrink the likes of Chrome and Google Maps to a popup window and layer it on top of other apps is also useful I’d love to see something similar on the iPhone 6 Plus continues to clear away.

SOFTWARE

If you’re looking to learn more about the stylus uses, I’d advise a quick read of Brad’s Galaxy Note 4 review, because the setup is identical here. Yes, there are TouchWiz bits running on Android 4.4 KitKat.

But let’s focus on what’s different here: that edge. There are two display modes you can flit between: a slender, unassuming bar that can display a customized message and a more substantial column that attempts to offer extra functionality, notifications or context-dependent menus for certain apps, like the camera.

The front-facing camera is also a top-end sensor compared to the competition, 3.7 megapixels with an f/1.9 lens.

While I’m not a huge selfie taker, you’ll have to ask our Senior Selfie Editor, but I do take a whole lot of photos with my smartphone.

The same high-resolution 2,560 x 1,600 screen we’re certain 1080p Plus

When it’s expanded, the UI is a basic row of icons, which you can navigate with a little swipe. This may look a little unusual, but swishing through the various mini-screens is immensely satisfying.

The screen is marginally smaller than the Note 4, despite the cranked-up pixel count. Like the Note 4, text pops a little more, and pictures you take with the 16MP camera are obviously better replicated on the Note Edge’s screen.

All told, it’s an excellent camera. The image stabilizing works well on all the neon lights that pepper Tokyo, while even people were neatly captured. There’s some noise, but it compares favorably against older Galaxy phones. Daylight meant effortless captures and some really nice shots, if I say so myself.

First of all, make sure that the plumber you are going to hire is licensed. As a matter of fact, this should be your number one consideration. To find out if a plumber is licensed or not, you can perform a Google search. This will help you find out if the plumber has positive or negative ratings. If a plumber has a lot of negative ratings, you should not work with them.

Ask Around

Although a lot of people buy online these days, word of mouth is still one of the most effective means to make the best decision. Therefore, you may want to ask around to find out about the plumber. For example, if your neighbor, family friend of someone in your neighborhood has got their house renovated, you may want to ask about the plumber they hired.

Suitability

Make sure that the plumber you are going to hire is a good match. The reason is that plumbing companies have different schedules to follow. Before you choose a plumber, don’t forget to ask some important questions. These questions should be related to the project completion time, estimated cost, liability insurance and additional fees, just to name a few.

Consult Different Plumbers

It is a good idea to consult different plumbers before you make the ultimate decision. You may want to do your research and contact different providers. You can search for different issues like Trenchless Sewer Replacement or other links of clogging or leaking issues. Also, you can meet them in person or make a phone call to each plumber. This will give you a much better idea about the experience, qualification, and values of the provider.

Guarantees

Find out if the plumber offers any guarantee. Regardless of the kind of plumbing work you need to get done, it is important to work with the plumber who offers a guarantee. If their service does not come with a guarantee, you may not want to work with them. In this case, it is always a great idea to look elsewhere.

Consult Other Pros

You live in a city, you can find out as much as you can about the services of a plumber on the internet. But it won’t be possible if you live in a small town aur village. In this case, you may consult other professionals electrician and technicians in your area.

Experience

As a general rule, the professional you are going to hire should be highly experienced. Without experience, skills won’t matter that much. What you need to do is look for a plumber that has a proven track record. It is not difficult to find out if the plumber has enough experience. All you need to do is check out the website of the plumber.

In short, if you are looking for a plumber to perform repairs or maintenance. We suggest that you follow the tips given above to hire the best service provider.

Commercial Gardening | Complete Research on Commercial Gardening

Living life in the suburbs or nearby rural areas can be an idyllic existence with space to do all the little projects we have dreamed of. For many of us, having a small parcel of land immediately conjures up our aspirations to have a garden and grow our own food.

One of us remembers years ago having a deep city lot and ambitiously putting in a sizable garden. This involved going to the local hardware store, renting a rototiller, turning bags of peat and potting soil into the topsoil, planting, and hoping for the best.
That decision to plant a lot of tomatoes, because we like tomatoes so that even if the plants do not flourish, we will have enough tomatoes, is well-remembered. Well, it was a hot and humid summer that year and we had tomatoes, lots and lots and lots of tomatoes.

After canning all we could, making endless ragouts and buckets of salsa, eventually, we had to start hauling grocery bags full of tomatoes into the office to “share” with our colleagues because we just could not bear the thought of throwing those little red beauties out. Eventually, even our office mates got tired of tomatoes.

If this has ever happened to you, what you have is the makings of a commercial garden. Commercial gardening involves the production of fruits, vegetables, and ornamental crops on small plots of land.
Commercial gardening for the production of food or ornamental crops (horticulture) is basically an American term. From the other side of the pond, commercial gardening refers to professional groundskeeping and not a production of melons and radishes. So henceforth we will refer to it as market gardening, which is the more commonly-used term (you will also hear it referred to as truck farming). This gardening needs a cleared ground for beginning the process which can be found with the help of grounds maintenance Coventry.

When you go to a farmer’s market mid-week to buy fruits and vegetables or see some of their nice potted plants for the windows in your salon, most of those sellers are market gardeners producing from small plots of land ranging from under an acre to a few acres. Some of them may even use greenhouses (a.k.a., hothouses, winter gardens) to grow their crops, but all of this is done on a small scale for production and sales.

Horticulture vs. Agriculture
Commercial GardeningGrowing crops in horticulture and growing crops is agriculture. Both sound the same, so is there a difference?

The differences between horticulture and agriculture mainly involve the concepts of scale and variety. Horticultural plots are smaller-scale efforts that may or may not involve draft animals or machinery (more typically, not), whereas agricultural cultivations are produced on a much larger scale and typically require draft animals or machinery (or a very large human labor force).

Variety comes in play in differentiating between the two in that agricultural cultivations are typically crop-monolithic or involve only a few crops, and crop harvest is during a brief interval of time at the end of the growing season. In contrast, horticultural plots typically involve the planting of a wider variety of different crops which reach maturity at different times of the year, thereby making the plot yield produce over a broader range of time during the growing season.

The “Market” Outlook
The growth market for agriculture-related industries is projected to be stagnant or decline due to increased efficiency resulting from better operations, mechanization, and the boost of chemical inputs. For small farmers increased costs of agrochemicals plus increased regional market pressures, and competition with larger commercial farms will likely result in a heavy selection process which will leave a few small farm operators as survivors.

There is a silver lining in all of those predictions since niche markets and long-term trade disruption are not taken into account when simulating these projections. One of those emerging niche markets with projected growth in horticulture and organic food farming according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

When you ask any consumer whether they would prefer a vegetable grown on an industrial farm where a plethora of chemicals was used in its production or whether they would prefer the same vegetable grown on an organic farm with only manure for about the same price, seven times out of ten they will choose the organically-grown produce.
This trend toward favoring organic produce is also increasing as production volume of organic products increase and unit costs come down to levels comparable to or equal to produce from industrial agricultural farms.

As a growth market, the Organic Trade Association’s 2019 industry survey reported an annual sales volume of $55 billion in the United States, double to the volume from a decade ago. The footprint of organic food products in commercial groceries is also becoming a predominant feature in close to 80% of stores as consumer demand grows and resellers adjust their inventories to match.

With these market trends as a backdrop, trade distribution network disruptions, such as we have seen lately with a global viral pandemic, have reshifted the focus of farm-to-market sales to increasingly emphasize locally-grown produce. This trend was already in development as consumers became more aware of the need to buy locally and support their farming neighbors.

Investing in your local community and knowing from whom you buy your fruits and vegetables is deeply satisfying to many people. The interest in providing food for your family this way has resulted from a gradual social transformation in how people conduct business, with a focus on doing things locally.
These changes provide an ample market for the growth of market gardening, particularly if production emphasizes the use of organic farming techniques. There has also been a growth in urban and suburban food co-op’s, which connect customers with local growers and provide the market gardener with a dedicated customer base and repeat sales.

Another niche area to consider is providing locally-grown organic produce for restaurants as exclusive customers. Many restaurants now tend to buy locally and advertise this fact openly to their customer base to attract new diners, emphasizing their role as a local eatery supporting local farms.

With regard to profit margins, growers who sell their products through wholesalers typically must sell at about 10% (or as much as 20%) of the resell value of their products. However, market gardeners who sell directly to consumers through co-op’s or farmer’s markets typically earn close to 100% of the retail sales value.

On an investment return per acre basis, industrial farmers typically see returns in the hundreds of dollars per acre, although this can vary widely based on the commodity value of their produce. In contrast, market gardens are a more efficient use of space and growers usually see returns in the neighborhood of up to $20k or more per acre with an established customer base.

Starting Your Own Market Garden Business

If you have some land and have aspirations of becoming a market gardener, there are a few particulars you need to look into before you begin the journey. Taking care of these details, in the beginning, will save you the hassle of needing to change your strategy later and save you some disappointment.

“Market” Research
The first thing you should invest time into doing is market research for your market garden. Before laying out plots and purchasing seeds, you should investigate where the demand lies in your local geographic area.

If people in your area are not into purple hull peas, despite your property being ideally suited to growing them, then that crop is not a good choice. Remember, you will be selling locally so see what local people want before planting.

Go shopping at the local farmer’s market and observe which booths seem to do the most business. Compare those booths with others to see what differs.

Maybe it is the prices, maybe it is the types of produce offered. Determine what makes those booths successful and you will have some insight into what crops to grow.

Alternatively, you may find that only one booth at a farmer’s market sells a particular type of produce, but that farmer usually sells out all the fruits or vegetables that they bring to the market. This can be a strong indication that there is consumer demand, but the supply is limited to only one local grower and suggests a market niche into which you could enter successfully.

Another approach is to speak with the produce manager at your local supermarket. Ask them what fruits or vegetables tend to be in the highest demand by their customers or, alternatively, what produce is frequently requested by consumers for which there is a limited supply.

These can be important clues as to what you should try to grow.

“Plot” Development

Selecting a location to begin your market garden is the first major step in the business development process. If you do not have room on your own property, an option to overcome this hurdle can be in the form of purchasing an empty lot or obtaining a land lease.

Some considerations you should review when surveying a potential land plot are the overall costs of purchase or rent and whether you will be required to pay property taxes (which can vary based on land use and zoning). A vitally-important consideration is whether the plot has easy access to water.

Proximity to your home should also be a consideration in your decisions. During the growing season, you will need to visit the plot daily for maintenance.

If you find difficultly in obtaining open plot space in your location, there are alternative solutions to food production that can provide enough volume for a viable market garden. For example, basements, unused portions of an industrial building, or even commercial shipping containers can be used for indoor gardening to produce salad greens or mushrooms either in soil or hydroponically (not for mushrooms).

Planning Production
For market gardens to be profitable, their production schedule must be carefully maintained to establish regular harvesting dates and predictability of harvest volume. This is particularly important if the market gardener has established a contractual arrangement to provide produce for local restaurants.

Understanding the growth characteristics of the crops you plant, for example, degree days to maturity, and establishing staggered planting dates are vital factors for profitability so that predictable harvest dates are regular and evenly spread out over the growing season.

Typically, the first year of growth can be a bit chaotic until you gain a feel for the performance of different crops in your plot. During the second and subsequent growing years, you will gradually become accustomed to the tempo of your garden and will be able to comfortably predict its growth performance patterns.

Breaking Ground

Preparing your plot for planting will take some effort to ensure good performance. Think of it like doing proper drywall work before painting and not just going in to slap on a coat of paint.

If the drywall has problems (moisture, crumbling, etc.), your paint job will only look nice for a little while until it will be necessary to tear into the wall and rebuild it. Preparing your plot for planting is much the same way, since taking some time to do it the right way before you plant will save you a lot of expensive headaches later.

If you have a wild plot of land that is full of weeds, there are several approaches to eliminating them so they do not compete with your crops. One method involves tillage and one does not.

We caution against the use of herbicides in controlling your weed problem in the outset, since these chemicals will also affect certain types of crops and can be persistent in the soil for some time, which will stunt (or in some cases prevent) crop development.

Most growers will tend to rent or purchase a rototiller to turn the soil, break up plant roots, and incorporate peat or mulch into the topsoil. Keep in mind that tillage disturbs topsoil, however, if the soil quality in your plot is very poor from either past surface erosion, mechanical removal of the topsoil, or over-cultivation, tilling organic material into your soil before first planting can be a good choice.

Before tilling, make sure you locate any underground cables or pipes to prevent catastrophe. Breaking one of these will damage your tiller and you will incur additional costs for repair of the damaged utilities.

For longer-term weed control, you can either re-till every spring or employ no-till, no-dig permaculture methods of plot maintenance. These approaches require more initial work but are sustainable and more cost-effective in the long run.

A simple method for starters is to cover the plot with a plastic tarp between growing seasons (fall and spring; leave the tarp off in winter months) to kill weeds that overwinter. If you are going with a no-dig system, by arranging your planting rows in advance you can set your walkways between the rows and apply anti-weed controls to limit the space for weeds to take root.

One way of doing this is to dig down a bit and lay several sheets of cardboard, then top off with wood chips. This will effectively choke out any weeds in those walkway areas.

For the planting areas, a generous 10-15 cm layer of compost applied in the fall and covered with plastic over the winter will prevent most overwintering weeds or their seeds from reestablishment in your plot. It will also provide a great base to which you will plant your crop seeds in the spring.

Sounds Like Fun, But It’s Still Hard Work
A bit of advice for would-be market gardeners. Before launching into a big endeavor, you also might consider working on another market farm in your area.

Valuable insights can be gained by watching their operation and you will also come to an understanding of whether or not you really want to do this as a business. Having direct experience in working a large garden plot is very important for early success since most businesses that fail tend to do so in their first year.
